Of course, the very first thing I looked at was the sheer amount of red that is in this pool. Then I saw the green, particularly the three Imperiosaurs and green/red creatures seemed like the best route to take this deck. Then I got to the multicolored cards, and two copies of Knight of the Reliquary is nothing to scoff at, however, what really caught my eye was the fact that I had Mind Funeral and Oona, Queen of the Fae. I looked back into my blue cards and there it was, Dampen Thought. Between that, two other Arcane spells, the Mind Funeral and the Queen, I thought that a good mill deck was actually an option, and here it is:

7 Island
8 Swamp
2 Terramorphic Expanse

I love your deck and think it’s the best way to go with these cards, but my first inclination was to go with a green white black. Using the two knights or the reliquary, the worm harvest and reach of branches fto make the most of land in the graveyard. Oona could still see some play but unfortunately I would have to leave out the shackles. Imperiosaurs for even more muscle, blightspeaker cuz he’s cool. tombstalker, flickerwisp and stinkweed imp for fliers.

  2. I do like that idea, I didn’t even think about the interaction of KOR with Worm Harvest. There is no reason to include Oona in this build. You can’t mill yourself with it so it doesn’t help with getting land in your yard.

Oona just for a big flier. No other reason, wasn’t trying to mill myself with it cuz it removes the cards from the game anyways.

    • Good point, but at triple black (since there is no blue in the deck) in a three color deck, it just wouldn’t be reliable that you could cast her… even late game.

For the record I like this blog series. Makes me think about what to play and how other people might build decks using the same cards. It’s freaking awesome

    • Well thank you. I appreciate it, and agree. I was hoping that more people would respond with their own ideas on the pool for each post which would help even more.
